Tragedy and Triumph: Living in a conflicted sports world

Standard

PEDs. Scandals. Doping. Death. Injuries. Concussions. Bounty programs. These words usually clutter the morning sportscenter. In 2003, Lance Armstrong had come back from cancer and won a Tour De France. A-Rod was about to sign with the yankees. It all seemed so perfect. Enter reality.

As a sports fan, it’s hard to believe everything you see nowadays – if not impossible.

For every incredible moment, there’s one arguing against it. Injuries destroy NFL Careers and lives. Safety measures, or the lack of them have killed two non team sports players this past year.

This isn’t a long post, but I don’t think it has to be. It’s pretty simple – as a sports world, we need to change.
