MLB: Is it real?

So far, we’ve had a weird season. A really, really weird season. The team everybody expected to explode is two games above .500. The team everybody expected to be too old and too bad has the best record in baseball. The ROCKIES are doing well. What is going on?

Well, pretty much normal stuff. How is that normal? Really? Well, let me explain. The MLB has the longest season of any sport. 162 games.  The boys of summer, they call them. But since it’s so long, it gives teams time to mess up. For instance. In 2011, the Boston Red Sox, lost their first 7 games. Then, they went on a crazy run (of course, they then spiraled down the toilet, but we don’t talk about that).

So really, the Rockies could be real. But they also couldn’t be.

One thing you have to love about baseball is that it’s so long. Anything can happen. And really, nothing has happened yet. If this was football, 1 and a half games have been played. So get back to the diamond boys, because you’ve got ways to go this year, and anybody has a chance.

Even the Astros.
